Mount Morris Can Allow You To Relax
Uncategorized April 26th, 2011As we traveled through the Finger Lakes Region of New York State, we had decided to settle for the night in a little village called Mount Morris. In an attempt to stick to our plan of staying in smaller communities, this place was a perfect choice. Mount Morris has a population of approximately 3000, yet there is so much to do. There are several quaint Bed and Breakfast establishments to choose from and the feeling you get from the locals is that of warm welcome.
While we stayed and toured the area, we realized that this friendly little town had so much to offer that we delayed our schedule, allowing an extra day to take in the sights. We visited some of the more than 100 wineries and vineyards that grace the lush rolling landscape. We spent an entire day hiking through Letchworth State Park, otherwise known as “The Grand Canyon of the East”, finding many beautiful photo opportunities within the landscape. The Finger Lakes, a nearby chain of lakes that make this area famous are breathtaking.
This trip proved to be one to repeat next year. We just might make Mount Morris our base camp for our next tour.
